GIVE, GROW, PLAY Logo Design Contest
The Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) and Organizational Learning and Effectiveness (OLE) are thrilled to announce that an exciting learning event for support staff is being planned for late June 2013: “GIVE, GROW, PLAY.”

We need help creating a logo or brand for the GIVE, GROW, PLAY event. All NASA staff are invited to submit their design ideas in a contest. The designer of the best logo/brand will win their choice of an iPad Mini (Basic 16 GB modelo) or a Nexus 7 tablet. Entrants to the contest should submit a logo which they feel best reflects the theme of ‘GIVE, GROW, PLAY,’ and the spirit of networking, community involvement, and skill development.
Deadline for entries will be February 28, 2013. The winning design will be chosen and unveiled in early March.

The event will be an opportunity for support staff to connect as a community and learn through:
- GIVE –You will have several opportunities to come together, give back to the community, and learn through charitable and humanitarian organizations. There will be three opportunities to participate in a ‘giving’ activity through: Corporate Challenge Blood Drive, a Habitat for Humanity build in Edmonton, and Food Drive for the Campus and Edmonton Food Banks.
- GROW - The event will include the usual conference-style program with speakers and short workshops. The event will have two identical days of programming, giving you lots of flexibility to attend what interests you. More information will follow on this in the coming months.
- PLAY – The event will wrap-up with a BBQ and social event in quad. More information to follow.

RULES:
- Submissions will be accepted in PDF format by email only to: dorothee.blanchard@ualberta.ca. Please provide your full name, department, email address and phone number.
- No fee for entry and no restriction on number of submissions per entrant.
- The winning Entrant will need to be able to provide the original files in a scaleable vector graphic (.eps format) as well as a .jpeg file. Winner must submit two versions of your logo - one in black and white and one in color.
- Please ensure consideration for a logo that will suit many different mediums. The logo may appear in print, on the web, and/or on other marketing materials and Swag (t-shirts, etc.).
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:
- By entering this competition, the designer assigns the rights to GIVE, GROW, PLAY to use each submission for promotion of the GIVE, GROW, PLAY Learning Event. Unless a submission is selected as the winner, each designer retains all intellectual property considerations associated with their submission.
- Entries should not violate any intellectual property, including, but not limited to patents, trademarks, and copyrights. By admitting their entry the designer certifies that the entry is original, created solely by entrant and no other person or entity holds rights to the entry and its components.
- In consideration for the prize received, the winner agrees to transfer all applicable intellectual property considerations to GIVE, GROW, PLAY for the sole promotion of the GIVE, GROW, PLAY Learning Event.
- The entrant is responsible for the contents of the advertisement which cannot include copyright protected material. The entrant must have the rights for all the texts and images used in the submitted work.
- The entry must not benefit any company, organization, political party or official interest group by the use of logos, brands, representatives or corporations, parties, or organizations.
