OLE and Skillsoft went to the President’s Picnic


OLE was in the park! Together our band of merry picnic walkers gave away over 500 sets of ear buds to let people know about the renewed contract with Skillsoft. There are plenty of new features and fun ways to explore 100’s of topics online, 24X7!

The Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) and Organizational Learning and Effectiveness (OLE) are thrilled to announce that an exciting learning event for support staff is being planned for late June 2013: “GIVE, GROW, PLAY.” The event will be an opportunity for support staff to connect as a community and learn through:   GIVE –You will have several opportunities to come together, give back to the community, and learn through charitable and humanitarian organizations. Workplace Learning

The purpose of Workplace Learning (WL) is to provide faculty and staff members with learning opportunities to enhance their skills and perform their work effectively. The Workplace Learning Workshops consist of courses and events that are open to all Support Staff, Faculty, and other Academics. Workplace Learning workshops are typically: short, free, diverse, tailored to U of A environment, and provide employees with the opportunity to network with other U of A Employees. On July 17 OLE ran two sessions on Generational Differences in the workplace .
