Deepening Facilitative Capacity

Overheard at APO FL… Once a year around the spring-time, Organizational Learning and Effectiveness offers APO Facilitative Leadership grads an opportunity to connect with each other, review, practice, and enhance their facilitation skills. On May 28 th and 29 th , 2012, OLE hosted the 3 rd annual Deepening facilitative Capacity session at Campus Saint-Jean. Supervisory Leadership Program Update

We just graduated our 25th cohort on May 25th, 2012! This nine (9) full-day transformational program engages learners in interactive, experiential workshop sessions that feature relevant University of Alberta workplace case studies, planning exercises, self-assessments, and tools to apply directly to the workplace. Graduates of the program have implemented 100’s of projects throughout our community over the past 8 years. Pathways Learning Series: Supporting Talent. Unleashing Potential!

This exciting and new self-directed learning program allows you choose your own path to enhancing and advancing your career at the UofA. For more information, visit: www.hrs.ualberta.ca/learning/programs/pathways The launch of the Pathways Learning Series began January 16th, 2012. Throughout the first 3 months we held 13 information sessions with over 330 people attending. Informal feedback was very positive among participants (who represented Support Staff, APOs and Supervisors). In February we introduced the first competency -  Organizational Citizenship . We held the first 2 of 19 brand new face-to face sessions and evaluations showed that 90% of participants would “apply this education and experience within their work." One participant commented, “It was an effective experience that I will carry with me to help be a better citizen and leader at the UofA. THANKS!”  In March we featured the  Communication  competency with 3 more courses. 100% of respondents of the
